On the 10th Day of Christmas....

On the 10th day of Christmas it was tinsel at dawn...or 10.45!!

As we enter in to double figures for the Access Point 12 days of Christmas fun, we had a game that involved tinsel and exercise as well as lots of fun!

The game in question is Lords-a-Leaping Tinsel skipping rope!

With so many fantastic games already everyone wondered how this would turn out. Potentially broken arms, legs or even necks but as long as the computers and phones didn’t break and we could keep selling David was happy to take on any legal tribunal!

In team one we had James “Sick Boy” Wilcoxson and Caroline “Old Bird” Chong (her own words!).

Facing them from team two we had Jenny “Party Animal” Wainwright and Lisa “Liza” Gornelli. With one minute of skipping to go the stakes were high and with no training done we had the first aider at the ready in case anyone keeled over!

Lisa went off like a train and James put in a ambling yet consistent performance (no wonder he has another child on the way!)  Jenny was too busy laughing and trying her best to break the tinsel but funny as always.

Lisa started to fade, and from nowhere Caroline had the eye of the tiger and raced in to the lead with 20 seconds of adrenaline fueled school yard skipping to claim first place and the crown for her and James who strolled home in second.

Excellent work all four participants though and no broken phones or computers, so David is happy but says "get back to work!"  You can all have a drink on him tonight...and don't forget mine!!

Over at Liverpool Kirsty won the skipping for being so enthusiastic....and the only one willing to give it a go!

Dressing up today was Mark as Father Christmas and Rob - who has pledged to spend all day dressed as a little angel!

On the 9th day of Christmas.....

Day 9 of Access Point’s 12 days of Christmas fun threw up a dancing bonanza in the form of “Strictly Salsa”.

Calls of “7” rang out from the excitable crowd. In one corner we had Peter “Work Experience” Edwards and Jennie “Dane Loving Keeno” and in the other we had Joanne “Liverpool FC’s Number One Fan” Saltmarshe with Simon “Father Christmas” Teale. The only thing missing was the sparkly sequin low cut tops for the guys!

Both teams had 2 minutes to impress the judges with their dancing “talent”. Someone said they spotted Len Goodman peering through the window after hearing about the dancing skills on show.

The dancing was interesting to say the least.

Joanne and Simon used the whole of the office as they ran off together, and Keeno acting as 'the man' led Peter from start to finish while both demonstrated some pretty impressive slut drops (same again Friday night, please).

We even had cameo appearances from Carole Knight and Stephen Doyle (who rivals Joanne as Liverpool’s number one fan) both tearing up the dance/sales floor.

Both couples did themselves proud in a very close and exciting final but the winners in the end were Jennie Keen and Peter Edwards but well done to all participants, we can’t wait to see what your moves are like after a few drinks at the Xmas party!!

See you tomorrow for 10 Lords-a-Leaping!

On the 8th day of Christmas,

....Eight Maids a milking

On the 8th day of Christmas, possibly the best game ever!!

On the 8th day of Chrsitmas Access Point gave to me…. two pairs of marigolds, some string and two plastic bowls …..Maids-a-Milking…. Mmmm what could this be?

The ladies looked on at me with their eyes filled with wonder and doubt. What and where did they have to milk?

We had four lovely maids – Carole & Surinder and Caron & Cheryl, who all gather together at the top of the barn for some udder fun!

Oh it was a g’udder’n!

We started by presenting the cows udders - filled to burst - to the maids, in a bucket filled with secret cows milk (out of the tap!)  It was all down to the ladies with the best milking skills, the quickest team to milk the cow!

The 'milk was spraying in all angles, one udder shot at Tash and squirted her full on in the face!

The farmers who were around watching where flinching and screaming at the udder-mess that was going on before them. It udderly was such a laugh!

Well done to Caron & Cheryl who roughly tackled the cows udders and were the quickest with their milk secretion!

Cant wait to see what the other days unfold…..

No winner for Till Rolls for the hamper today but Rob got to 'scrap in the sack'

Today we played Maids ‘a’ Milking!

Four contenders and four rubber gloves filled with water!!! What happened after that was a massive water fight!!!

The aim of the game was to empty the gloves of water by ‘milking’ it!

Team A - Ste Rawlings (filling in for Chris – who broke his “milking” hand) and Kate. Team B - Joanne and Mary who won the game! Great milking action girls!

Santa’s helpers were Ste H the Christmas tree and Mark the Elf! Ste totally swept Mark off his feet!

See you tomorrow for 9 Ladies Dancing

On the 7th day of Christmas Access Point gave to me ….. a bag of satsumas and two plastic bowls filled with water!!!

The weather forecast was wet and cold this particular day with strong winds and showers of sweets coming down from above!

Our swans “Rich and Slates” and “Peter and Steve” had their bibs on at the ready (or their plastic carrier bag ripped in half from Boots haha!) They were all ready to 'duck for the satsumas' – which didn’t float!

As the satsuma gets dumped into the pond (bucket) the teams were off bobbing around to try and grab the Satsuma in their beaks as quickly as possible.

All the other ducklings were watching on in awe as we wailed for the first swan to pop up their head.....Slates! He was up first satsuma in beak!

Each swan went head to head (I some how picked the two men in the building with the longest hair to have to dip their heads in the water mwhhhaaaahh!) The water was dripping down their faces! – I'm clearly the black swan!

Our winners were Rich and Slates, each won a nice Satsuma!!  Well done and 'nice-swan' to everyone who took part in the festivities!!!

Today’s game was 7 Swans ‘a’ Swimming!

Two teams played 'Duck Satsuma' with each contestant getting one minute to take out 6 Satsuma’s from a bowl of water using only their mouths!

Team A - Chris Brundrit & Ali Perez, Team B - Frank Gamble & Tony Graham.

The game got off to a slow start until Chris got the hang of it and emptied the bowl, then passing the baton on to Ali who not only emptied the bowl but filled it up and emptied it again!!! Frank and Tony had no chance – well done guys you all did great!

Joanne got to scrap in the sack today and congratulations to Tony who gets the hamper prize of jam!!!

Santa’s helpers today were Mrs Santa aka Ste Rawlings who couldn’t wait to wear the dress again, staff in Liverpool are getting concerned we may now have to call him Stephanie?!

Kate was unfortunate to stumble on Ste adjusting his own Satsuma’s in the dress?! And Mary, dressed as an elf and was forced to feel Ste/Stephanie’s boob, not sure if it constitutes sexual harassment?!

Perhaps Kasha can advise or offer councelling to those effected by the events of today.

See you tomorrow for 8 Maids a Milking
